We’re Looking For: A self-motivated, organised individual ready to tackle year-round challenges. A valid driving license B category. Someone who thrives both independently and in a team setting.
We are a dairy farm milking 1200 Holstein cows.
You must be:
Be a positive and easy-going person, have good humor with a high attention to detail and excellent communication skills. You will be confident and able to apply your knowledge to support the dairy.
You will have a wealth of experience operating machinery with a basic level of knowledge of servicing.

Summary:
Day-to-day responsibility for general farm duties to include some milking, weekend relief, out-of-hours and holiday cover as agreed as part of the rota
Taking responsibility for dairy operations including health care & rota.
Maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment. Maintaining the required levels of animal health, cell count and bactoscan.
To take all precautionary measures to prevent animal disease and maximise animal health and welfare.
To be responsible for making sure that all stock and dry stock are bedded, fed and watered to the required standard twice a day.
Detection & treatment of sick animals including lameness.
Neonatal cow & calf care, colostrum management & youngstock rearing.
The keeping of accurate records.
Give reasonable notice to the herd manager of any requirements for additional or replacement feedstuffs, dairy chemicals, sundries or medicines.

Experience:
- Herdsperson: 1,5 years (required)
- Driving Licence (required)
