Are you looking for your next opportunity to become a Production Operative ? We have the perfect opportunity for you to start immediately in Eccleshall (ST21). Staffordshire.

 Our client looking for serious and responsible staff with basic engineering skills for the new project.

Production Operatives required to join the newly formed environmentally friendly Wood briquettes.

The job involves making briquettes from wood.

Each shift will be 12 hours long and you will be paid for 11 hours with a 60 minute unpaid break – taken as one or two periods of 30 minutes.

The hourly rate will be £14.00 and this includes average shift allowances

Holiday hours of 215 per annum equal to 5.6 weeks.

Some mechanical handling experience or practical experience of conveyors and operating process machinery will be an advantage.

 Job Description:

    Set up the log pres.

    Working in a team of two on the production line within a busy plant environment.

    Monitor performance of screw presses.

    Ensure automated bunding and strap machine is working to meet production targets.

    Removing pallets of hot logs into cooling store using the FLT.

    Returning cooled logs of pallets to wrapping machine for wrapping before storing for onward sale using FLT.

   Responsibilities :

– Operate and maintain production machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance.

– Assemble components and products according to specifications and quality standards.

– Utilise power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during the assembly process.

– Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.

– Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

– Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.

– Document production activities accurately, including any issues encountered during the process.

The Applicant should have experience operative environment.

  Some mechanical handling or practical experience in conveyors and running process machines including changing strap cartridges, film material, labels would be advantageous.

    Ability to perform basic maintenance is essential.

    You will be numerate and literate and a team player.

    Ability to drive a FLT with current valid license is preferred but not essential as training can be provided.

    You will be a reliable individual, a good team player but happy to work on your own with a willingness to learn and have an interest in clean renewable energy.

 Salary from £ 28000 to £33000 per year, + benefits.

 Production target bonus.

 Full training programmer of 12 weeks for new employees.

    45 hours per week.
